AP VRO Recruitment 2020: The Government of Andhra Pradesh approved to fill 3795 Village Revenue Officers (VRO) Grade-2 vacancies with five year experienced VRAs with intermediate qualification. The AP Government has already released guidelines to allow those who are still VRAs to select VRO posts based on their experience and qualifications. Soon, the district-wise collectors will issue notices and replace the vacancies.

Line cleared to fill the vacancies of 3795 VROs (గ్రామ రెవిన్యూ అధికారి) posts in Andhra Pradesh. Recently the Government has replaced the VRO Grade 2 Posts due to huge shortage of officials in Village and Ward secretaries. At the same time, the government has appealed for the replacement of the remaining VRO Grade 2 posts, considering those who have been working as Village Revenue Assistants (VRAs) for many years.

Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates must have passed the Intermediate or its equivalent course
- Those who have done a distance degree or PG without intermediate are also eligible.
- Five years of service as Village Revenue Assistant (VRA) must be completed by January 1, 2020
Selection Process
- Applicants are selected based on Seniority, Interview and Certificate Verification.
- The District Collector has been entrusted with the responsibility of replacing these posts.
The Revenue Department recently issued internal orders to collectors of all districts, removing the ambiguity over the eligibility requirements for these posts on the appeal of village revenue assistants’ association. Accordingly, the Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department, V. Usha Rani, has instructed the Chief Commissioner of State Land Administration to declare the district wise vacancies and select eligible VRAs on the basis of seniority.
