UPSC CDS 2 Exam Notification 2020 Details
Combined Defence Services Examination commonly known as CDS is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Selected candidates undergo training at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA) and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA). The exam is held twice a year usually in February and September.

Educational Qualification
- IMA and Officers: Training Academy, Chennai — Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
- Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.
- Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and bMathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
- Note: Graduates with first choice as Army/Navy/Air Force are to submit proof of Graduation/provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB Interview at the SSB.

UPSC CDS II Online Application 2020
Application Fee
Candidates will have to pay Rs 200/- as application fees. The application fees can be paid either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa /Master /Rupay Credit/Debit Card. Female/SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
Application Process
UPSC CDS Application form can be filled in online mode only at the official website. The application process involves two parts – Part 1 is basic registration and Part 2 includes fee payment, filing up form and uploading scanned documents.
- CDS Registration: Candidates need to enter their personal details. Enter your name, date of birth, parents’ name, address, category, mobile number, email ID and other basic details.
- Pay CDS Application Fee: Application Fees can be paid in online mode via Debit/ Credit Card or SBI Netbanking and in offline mode by paying cash at any SBI Bank branch.
- Fill CDS Application Form: Candidates have to complete their form by mentioning personal and educational details. Fill the form very carefully as no correction will be allowed after closing of application process.
- Upload CDS Photo, Signature and Photo ID Proof: Candidates have to upload their scanned passport size photograph, signature and photo ID proof in prescribed specifications.
